SHORT RIDE _ on road

From West Wight Sorts Centre, turn right out of car park and immediately left again. A3055. Continue SE to mini roundabout by petrol station.

Take first turn (left) up Hooke Hill. Continue to sharp left-hand bend with junction. Continue straight on towards Church and Red Lion pub. NOTE: This junction is not your right of way and care must be taken. You are effectively turning right.

Pass pub and Church down narrow lane to the Causeway. CARE! This is a single track lane.

Cross causeway and continue along lane. Soon, lane turns sharp right and up a short hill to T junction with B3399.

Turn left. CARE! This is a narrow section of road and traffic is often fast.

Turn next left. Wilmingham Lane. Follow Wilmingham Lane for about 2 miles. Turn right towards Thorley. B3401. Continue about 1/2 mile to next crossroads just before Thorley Church. Turn right into Broad Lane. NOTE. Broad lane is narrow!

Gentle climb with views. After roughly 2.5 miles join B3399 at T junction. Turn right. CARE. This road frequently takes fast traffic and there have been accidents in the vicinity of this junction.

Follow B3399 west towards Freshwater. This includes a long steady descent.

Turn right at T junction and return to Freshwater.
